Seven Daffodils
I may not have mansion, I haven't any land
Not even a paper dollar to crinkle in my hands
But I can show you morning on a thousand hills
And kiss you and give you seven daffodils.
I do not have a fortune to buy you pretty things
But I can weave you moonbeams for necklaces and rings
And I can show you morning on a thousand hills
And kiss you and give you seven daffodils.
Oh, seven golden daffodils all shining in the sun
To light our way to evening when our day is done
And I will give you music and a crust of bread
And a pillow of piny boughs to rest your head.
A pillow of piny boughs to rest your head...

Small potato
I used to be an important person among my family, my friends, my classmates and my colleagues in the past.
People always come to me for suggestions when they have problems.
They trusted me, they thought that I have good analysis skills.
But everything has changed.
Nobody trust me now, not my family, not my friends, not my colleagues, of course not my classmates.
Somehow I know why.
Coz they think I can't even manage my own life.
and yes, they're right!
Honestly, I don't really wanna get back to the "important role" I used to have.
However, sometimes I do want to get involve and give suggestions especially when I notice somethings wrong!
but no one cares what I said now..sigh
yes.. I'm a small potato now.
fine, of course I don't care people don't come to me for they problems,
becoz it must be something wrong about me when they do so!
but, why are they excluding me even when those issues are related to me??
am I really that NOT important??
What I feel is that they just want me to shut up and say nothing and do whatever they say.
but I'm already 28.
should I be allowed to say something or at least let me know what's going on?
I know how people view me..
I'm 28 and still studying in university.
but what can I do?
I have no choice.
People want me to have a fxxking Bachelar Degree.
I don't mean I don't want it.. but I didn't want to give up my job and go overseas for 3 whole years at age 27!
I don't think I cant sucess without a Degree
and I'm not giving up my studies, I'm willing to do a part-time degree in HK.
But that's not they want.. and I'm doing want they want now..
and "furthering studies" doesn't make people respect me, on the other hand, i somehow feel that i've been looked down.
yes.. I know I shouldn't care about how people think about me..
but what about my family? shouldn't I care about them?
I came to study becoz of them.. and they now don't respect me anymore..
but.. what else can I do..?
I'll just accept my new role - small potato!
I'll just get away from people, friends and family..
and that's why I'm going to Singapore next month.. so I can live alone again.
it's time for me to live for myself.

Lie, damned lies and statistics
Social Situations
Lies are told in approximately one out of every three social situations.
Protect yourself
People's willingness to lie is motivated by their desire to protect their public self-image and also their internal sense of worth
Lying to friends
People are more willing to lie about performance on a task to people they know as opposed to people they do not know.
It's subjective
People are more likely to lie about their performance on a task when the results are subjective, as opposed to objective.

Something wrong with these English words..
Think about these English words... so interesting..
- Why is abbreviation such a long word?
- sesquipedalian means the overuse of long words!
- noses run while feet smell
- verb is actually a noun!
- Why is it that a man with hair on his head has more hair than a man with hairs on his head??
- rearrange the letters in funeral.... it becomes real fun... same thing happens to silent and listen!
- have a thought to these words: unexpected surprise, free gift, advance warning, frozen ice, empty space, end result, past experience, rough estimate, actual facts, multiple choice.... and lots more!
More can be found from Teresa Monachino's Words Fail Me, a very interesting book!!

I need a hug
I am hunger for a big hug now.. as I always do..
I'm always lack of hugs..
always..
maybe since I was born..
my mom said I always cried at night and everyone had to hold me in turns throughout whole nite..
everyone being mom, dad and my grandma.. and I think sometimes even my grandpa..
being a Chinese.. as u grow up.. u got less and less hugs.. except from your lovers.. (who not yet marry with u!!)
so.. I was always lack of hugs!!
the most satisfied time was the time I was in the hotel school.. where I got heaps of hugs from many friends everyday!!
I was so happy!!
especially I am sooo tiny compared to those giant guys.. and they always so generous in giving me hugs..
but after that time.. I'm suffered from lacking of hugs again~~
I used to forced my ex-bf to give me hugs every nite..
Actually our relationship started with a long hug - a overnite hug that made our waists sore
we used to love hugging each other.. but.. he's probably hugging her right now.
anyway...
I was looking forward to get more hugs when I return to Australia the 2nd time..
however.. things were different..
I was fine until these days..
My dreams were full of hugs with friends and guys..
and a guy I used to love very much years ago suddently came to my dreams almost every nite..
so strange!! I've not seen him for so many years~
and especially today..
I was alone at home..
woke up with dream about him and some other things..
later on tonite found out that our team didn't do so well in Markstrat..
and watched the film
all these things... made me cried finally..
well.. I wish somebody could give me a hug..
International friends vs HK friends
Studying at ANU is quite a different experience to studying in the hotel school in Sydney.
Here we go to classes my ourselves, after that, people just leave almost without talking to one another..
In the hotel school, we all stayed on campus, we had small classes.. everyone knows each other..
so you can make lots of friends in 2-weeks time.
I used to chat a lot with friends from all different countires..
I tried to stay away from the HK people to get away from rumors..
Talking with Western friends make me feel more comfortable although sometimes I can say exactly what I wanted to express.
I love making friends with them
Coming back again to Australia this time, I stay with my sisters instead.
In this kind of university and this kind of living environment, I only made a few real friends.. most of them are Asian..
I tend not to tell HK people all my history even my age.. becoz it will simply cause me more trouble..
It's not my perception to them.. it's the truth..
Lucky me..
Nothing bad happened till now except for a really bad 2 months relationship with a HK guy which I really regret.
And.. in my last semester here.. I did meet some friends from other nationalities.
Kate, a lovely girl from Thailand..
she's smart, cute, funny..
I can just talk to her with all funny things..
Working with her was a wonderful experience..
Benn, a huge Australia guy..
Although he always laughed at me..
he's a real good man.
He helped me alot with my exchange plan..
I can tell him everything I want and no need to worry about him telling anyone else..
I really wish I met these two lovely people the 1st day I came to ANU..
well.. I should content with what I've got at the moment... shoudn't I?
hmm.. of course..
I do have good friends in Hong Kong..
but it seems no way for me to meet good HK people here..
my friends in HK are just too good.. I always miss them..
especially my lifetime best friend Iris, and the guy who loves me the most in the world - my "big brother" Charles..
They are always in my mind.. always..
The people I met in HK and the HK people I met in Australia are so different!!
I shouldn't say all HK people studying overseas are crap.. (well..I'm one of them.. )
but as far as I experienced.. some of them just came here for "freedom"..
there's a big difference between the purposes of Western people studying overseas and HK people studying overseas..
Western people really want to experience life.. want to meet friends.. want to travel..
but HK people... they do not have any inspirations..
they don't even know what they are doing..
Am I blaming those HK people?
NO!
what makes them like this is the education system in HK..
they never teach students how to "think"..
It is the worst thing in the world..
well.. I'll talk about more about this later.
